F.A.Q & Terminology

I pay my credit cards off each month. You are not saving money on points if you are accruing interest and debt. To keep track of my spending I have a spreadsheet that I update daily with what we have spent. I also have a list of all my credit cards to make sure I pay them all each month. I do mine on paper. I like double-checking that all get paid.

In our house, we have two people getting credit card offers. That makes us a two-player home. I often get a credit card and then refer my husband to the card later so not only does he get a sign-up bonus for the card but I also get a referral for him getting the card. My husband lets me do all the work on this and I then check to make sure he is ok with getting a new card.

A sign-up bonus is when a credit card offers you to spend X amount of dollars in a certain time and they will give you a bonus to do so.

I have excellent credit. Many people ask what this does to my credit keeping so many cards. Since I pay them off each month I have a very low debt-to-credit ratio. My credit score stays above 800+.

Casino offers - I used to go to the casino and play video poker when I was in my 20’s. I did not gamble again until December after I did the Casino match to Ceasars. My risk on gambling is very low. I did get enough points on my Princess Cruise in May that they sent me offers for more free cruises.
